Columbia is a city that was planned to be in the middle of it all.
As the nation’s first planned capital city, Columbia was located in the center of the state to provide convenient access for everyone. Today, Columbia is in the midst of a great renaissance, with new buildings and beautification projects appearing all over town. There is a research campus in the works and for the first time in over a hundred years Columbia’s untapped rivers are being looked at for development possibilities. Even with the great progress we are experiencing all around us, Columbia is still a friendly city with lots of southern
charm.
