COR members have often spoken for young professionals in local government meetings. From the Penny Tax to the Bull Street Development, we’ve participated in important decisions about the future of Columbia and the surrounding area. Recently, COR member Trey Gordner showed us Voterheads, a new tool that makes it easier than ever to be informed and involved. Voterheads turns you into a ‘super-citizen’ by making it easy to stay informed and take action in your local government. They send you an email when your City, County, or School Board plans to take action on an issue that matters to you. You can record your vote for or against and send comments to your officials without having to attend the meeting in person. And you can share issues via social media to inform your connections and involve them in the political process as well. Sign up for free at https://www.voterheads.com/.
